Labor Day

The kids and I headed to Montana for Labor Day weekend.  On the way we stopped by a fruit stand to pick up peaches.  Emily noticed our name on one of the buildings.

We went to the Labor Day parade and the kids scored in the candy department.  (It helps to set up camp at the start of the parade)  Olivia, Megan, Daniel, Emily, Tyler, Aubrey and some random kid.





We stopped on the "Big Bridge" on the way home to throw rocks into the canyon below.  (Megan, Emily and Tyler)

The kids helped me in my classroom and I promised them we could try some drinks from Fiiz.  A snowman, a Peep, and gummy worms.





We went to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Hale Center Theater.

The kids and I participated in the Salt Lake County Library's summer reading program and were able to go to the Natural History Museum of Utah.

We met up with my friends Cindy and Linda for our traditional back-to-school shakes at Arctic Circle.  Emily got a lucky gumball from the big gumball machine and "won" a free cone.



Our garden was a little hit and miss this year.  We got a lot of corn on the cob (yum!), but only this tiny amount of carrots.





The kids also received free tickets to the Bees game for reading this summer.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon up in the canyon picnicing with friends.

All three kids were on the same soccer team for fall soccer.  The arrows show Emily, Megan and Tyler.  Megan and Tyler did really well, and Emily preferred sitting out on the sidelines.😏
