Gardner Village

One day in October we met up with some friends at Gardner Village.

While we waited for everyone to meet up we checked out the pony rides.  Megan LOVES all things horses, but the kids had never been on a horse or pony so we splurged and they got a short ride.  They were all a little anxious about actually getting on and riding, but after they saw it wasn't so bad they really enjoyed it.

Fall Break

The kids and I went to visit my parents during our fall break.  As always, there was lots of cousin time.

My mom got some new dress up costumes from the Halloween section and the cousins had fun dressing up.  The older cousins even made up dance routines and we had a talent show.

This time when they settled down for a bedtime story with Grandma Kyle suggested that they act out the story instead of just listening to it.  So here they are acting out "The Three Little Pigs"  It was a lot of fun.

I'm so grateful we have opportunities to get together with cousins.  Emily, Megan and Tyler love their cousins, and sometimes they pretend to be their cousins while they're playing at here at home.

Family Pictures

(Yes, I'm WAY behind on blogging, but hopefully I'll get around to getting caught up soon.  I need about 5 more hours added to each day to get everything done I'd like to.)

We had our family pictures taken a couple weeks ago.  When we scheduled the pictures we were hoping for some good fall colors--which we got--but we weren't planning on snow.  Besides being a little cold (yes, the kids look kinda frozen), the snow/leaves combo was actually quite beautiful.

The kids did a great job smiling and we didn't have to photoshop in one "head swap" this year.  (I was a little worried about Emily because she wouldn't smile for her preschool pictures, but I had her practice showing me her "beautiful smile" before we got to the photo shoot and she did fabulous.)
