Family Reunion 2023

We had the. best. family reunion ever.  It was at a huge cabin/house in Idaho and it was pretty awesome!

The house was huge and had different parts and floors that made it super comfortable for all of us.

Our bedroom

The older cousins' bedroom

They had a hidden room upstairs that opened with a secret lever.

The "crow's nest" in a turret where the cousins watched a movie

There were big fish in this pond.

We got to watch a guy feed them. They had 2 canoes, 2 paddle boats and Derek and Tansy brought their paddle board.

The other pond was so fun to hang out in.

There was also a floating log that some enjoyed balancing on.

The turtles liked hanging out on the log and in the pond.

There were goats on the island.

We enjoyed visiting under the gazebo.

Some other fun things: the swing, Greg's e-scooter, s'mores at the firepit and the hot tub

Of course the food was so yummy!

Darrell and I took a short walk to the Snake River.

The property was huge and we found another gazebo down by the river.

Fun times

We went to West Yellowstone and ate pizza in the park before going to the Playmill to watch Beauty and the Beast.

The kids went up on stage for with Nathaniel, the biggest kid of all, to do the YMCA.

Darrell and I had to leave at intermission to get Darrell to Idaho Falls to catch the Salt Lake Express bus back to Utah. I headed to O'Reilly Auto Parts because we had been having problems with our van's battery staying charged.  We had to have it jumped a few times, including before heading into Idaho Falls.  The man at O'Reilly said the bad sulphur smell coming from the battery meant that it was probably leaking and would explode if I didn't get it changed.  He couldn't install the battery himself, so I headed to Walmart where they were able to get me in before closing and get a new battery installed.  I was SO grateful that we were protected while we were traveling so much that day.

Afterwards I headed up to Montana where the kids were.  One day we went to Bannock State Park.  Olivia came with us.  We did a self-guided tour of the mining ghost town.

Another day we went to Helena, MT to do baptisms at the new temple.  It was cool to have my dad do the confirmations.

We ate at Pizza Ranch.  Yummy!
