We went to the Saratoga Springs Temple Open House.  

Imagine our surprise when I found out my aunt, uncles and cousins were there at the same time.

Megan marched in the Magna 4th of July parade with the Matheson Jr. High Dance Company. I didn't get a good picture of her marching in the parade.  (Mom fail!  I tried to take a video but cut most of it off.)

We had burgers for dinner.

We did off some of our fireworks.

And then walked over to a church to watch the city fireworks.

 

We came home and did sparklers.

Emily put these Toy Story figures out in our window.  I added a sign to welcome her home.

All of the sudden Kitty came into our room bringing a ball of yarn.  I thought she got it from Emily's room.

Next thing we knew, she showed up with a blue ball of barn.

I followed her and found out she had found balls of yarn down in a room in the basement.  She was going back for more.  Silly Kitty!

Kitty enjoyed playing with her yarn and made several masterpieces.

We had my Dad's family reunion in Idaho.  It was so great to see so many people that I haven't seen for years.  We had a yummy catered lunch and then visited and caught up with my cousins and aunts and uncles.

 

   

 

The girls had fun doing face paint and balloons with their second cousins.

We had cake to celebrate my aunt and uncles' 50th anniversary.

The kids and I drove to see a huge American flag that hung between the walls of a canyon.  The website said it was still up, but nope!  It was disappointing.  Here is where there should have been a flag behind us.

We checked out the river/waterfall.

 

The girls got their braces off the same day.  The orthodontist-Dr. Bills-said it was pretty rare for siblings to finish up with their braces on the same day. Our orthodontist "journey" began in June 2017 with Tyler's first phase of braces.  The bill came to $25,130 for 3 kids X 2 phases each.  Luckily we were able to save $2,500 for each child due to insurance and then we paid cash and got a 5% discount.  We "only" ended up paying $16,000+ over the years.  Yay for modern orthondontia!

Tyler hadn't eaten his caramel apple from the orthodontist yet, so we got a picture of all of them.

Emily had to get an ultrasound for a urologist appointment.

I signed Emily and Megan up for Oakcrest, a Young Women's camp for girls who have completed 7th grade.  Our old stake participated in it, but our new one doesnt.  I signed them up to go to camp the same week that Tyler had Young Men's Camp.
