Post Christmas 2019

 The kids and I went to Montana for a few days after Christmas.

Everyone got in on separating "stuffing."  My mom made stuffed frogs for all of the grandkids for their birthdays last year.  Unfortunately, some of the stuffing is hard and yucky and has to be hand-picked out.

The kids loved playing out in the snow and being pulled behind the RZR and 4-wheeler.

  

We were able to celebrate Olivia's 13th birthday.

The kids and I were planning on staying in Montana until New Year's Day, but all of the news reports in 3 states said a HUGE snowstorm was going to head through, so we headed home December 31 and celebrated the new year coming in at our house.

Oh, and here is the results of that HUGE snowstorm that was supposed to hit on New Year's Day...basically nothing happened.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2019

Christmas Eve day found Emily and Megan laying around the whole day feeling sick.  Darrell came home from work early and went to bed since he didn't feel well either.

We had a very different Christmas Eve dinner.  I was blessed to avoid the tummy bug everyone else got.  Tyler and I ate our Christmas Eve dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, jello and Rhodes rolls.  Megan at a little bit, but Darrell and Emily just didn't feel well enough to eat.

We didn't act out the nativity this year.  We just watched a video of it instead.

Luckily the girls felt better on Christmas Day, although Darrell spent a lot of the day in bed.

It was an unconventional Christmas, but the kids were grateful for their gifts and we were able to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.

December 2019

We bought and decorated our tree the first part of December.

Darrell writes for a newspaper and they had a Christmas party at Desert Star. We watched "A Christmas Carol Part 2 Scrooged Again."  It was fun and the food was yummy.

I direct the school choir, the Rocketeers and we had a holiday concert this year.  (Here they are in the school cafeteria getting ready to go to the gym for the Thursday night concert.)

My paretns came down to support Megan, Emily, Tyler and me for the concert and then they treated us to Menchies.

Darrell and I were able to attend the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square concert. It was fabulous as usual.

Megan was Top Eagle of her class.

Emily helped me deliver Christmas gifts and then she and I walked along "Christmas Tree Lane," a nearby neighborhood street that decorates BIG time for Christmas.

We went downtown.  We saw the fountains and City Creek and then went to see the lights at Temple Square.  We had a fast outing since Tyler's tummy didn't feel well and Emily's throat hurt.

We had our traditional night of sleeping by the Christmas tree.  Unfortunately the tummy bug hit Megan and she threw up almost every hour during the night and then it hit Emily in the morning.

We had to reschedule our time to go see "Satr Wars-Rise of Skywalker" because of all the sickness.  We went the day after Christmas.

The kids spent some Christmas money on Build-a-Bears.  Tyler and Emily got Porgs and Megan got a candy-cane striped unicorn.
