Family Pictures 2015

We had our family pictures a couple weeks ago and I love how they turned out.

September Part 2

We decided to take the drive through Butterfield Canyon from the Herriman to Tooele.  It was pretty cool.  The fall colors were beautiful.





At the very top is a lookout into the Kennecott Copper Mine.  It was really cool to see the trucks taking ore out of the pit.  The huge trucks looked like tiny little ants from where we were.

As part of the summer reading program, the kids got coupons to get free Mini Murphs from Papa Murphy's.  Megan wanted a picture by the Mini Murph.

We went for a drive up to Silver Lake and walked around it.  It's especially beautiful in the fall.

The kids enjoyed exploring and finding sticks, etc.



They found this tree and decorated it, as if it were a Christmas tree.  The dead branches on top is the "star."

September Part 1

Apparently our apple tree was a little too loaded this year and we had some big branches fall off.  Unfortunately I didn't get on top of spraying for bugs in the spring, so most of our apples were wormy this year.



Our neighbors graciously shared some peaches with us and I had my first solo canning experience (with a call or two to Mom for some advice and help.)



The girls and I spent some time out in the shade one day after kindergarten doing sidewalk art.  I drew my very small, limited amount of "art" and the girls copied me.

Emily got a "bird watching" set for her "My Twinn" doll and decided to be a bird watcher.

And then drew them.  So cute!



The girls have had a few chances to do chores to get their confiscated toys out of the basement.

Megan got some princes lip gloss and I had to take a picture of what it looked like after she put it on.

Emily will draw random pictures and tape them in the pantry.



The kids and I participated in the library's summer reading program.  We received free tickets to the Utah Natural History Museum.
