September Part 2

We decided to take the drive through Butterfield Canyon from the Herriman to Tooele.  It was pretty cool.  The fall colors were beautiful.





At the very top is a lookout into the Kennecott Copper Mine.  It was really cool to see the trucks taking ore out of the pit.  The huge trucks looked like tiny little ants from where we were.

As part of the summer reading program, the kids got coupons to get free Mini Murphs from Papa Murphy's.  Megan wanted a picture by the Mini Murph.

We went for a drive up to Silver Lake and walked around it.  It's especially beautiful in the fall.

The kids enjoyed exploring and finding sticks, etc.



They found this tree and decorated it, as if it were a Christmas tree.  The dead branches on top is the "star."
