We had friends from our old neighborhood come over for a "Party on the Patio"-just like in old times.  It was fun to catch up, eat yummy treats and visit.

Ugh!  Look at this disgusting caterpillar thing that was in our garden. 

After having problems with the past 3 basketball hoops, we finally bit the bullet and installed a permanent one.  We had someone come and pour the cement and stabilize the pole and then Darrell, Tyler and I installed it.

Our neighborhood playground was finally installed.

Emily got a cat headband and tail from Spirit Halloween.  Zelda didn't know what to think about that.

  

She must not have loved it because her tail got poofy.

Emily left me cute notes on my Bentgo salad containers.

 

Tyler's basketball team helped out with the Cancer Walk again this year.  It was cool and overcast, but it didn't rain like it did last year.

Went to a trunk or treat at the junior high.

We may have been out of season, but the kids and I made gingerbread cookies using cookie cutters from all seasons.

We checked out a free neighborhood haunted house in someone's side yard/garage .  It was actually really good!

My parents came down for Tyler's band concert. It was a Halloween concert.  He dressed as an NBA player. Tyler plays the trumpet.

The kids did baptisms at the Jordan River Temple.  Darrell was able to baptize them.  Then we went to Crave Cookies for treats.

 

We grew our own pumpkins this year.

Derek and his family came for Sunday dinner the day before Halloween.

The other 5th grade teachers and I (and a 5th grade student teacher) dressed up like Class Dojo characters.

We had our traditional Papa Murphy's jack-o-lantern pizza and then kids went trick-or-treating on Halloween.

The girls went trick-or-treating with a friend (she and Megan were matchy witches) and Tyler went by himself and came back with a good amount of loot.  (I don't think I got pictures of the girls' stuff.)

She enjoyed looking outside, but she's not so sure about being outside.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of all, is that Darrell has long-hated cats, but he is her favorite.  The feeling is pretty mutual now.
