June 2019

June was super busy and there are several other posts about our different activities.  This is catching up on all of the miscellaneous things that happened.

Emily and Megan each got new comforters for their birthday.  The previous comforters were heart and flower ones that they had since they were 2 years old.

Emily's new one is Peppa Pig.

Megan chose a rainbow colored unicorn comforter.

We attended the Stake Carnival.

Emily entered her drawing of a CTR ring on a fingers at the Carnival display.

Megan and Emily had a "Pop Up Donut Shop."

The kids had a sleepover in the front room

We used a gift card from a local plant shop to choose flowers for the front flower bed.

The kids and I headed to Seven Peaks in Provo.  The kids swam and did some recreational reading.

Seven Peaks had a couple different shows.  One was a tiger show.

The other was a raptor show.  Megan was chosen to feed a bald eagle.

The kids and I went to the Draper Amphitheater to see "Newsies."  On the way there was huge lightning bolts and rain.  We weren't sure if the show would go on, but it did--even with a little slipping and sliding from the actors.  It rained at the beginning and the end, but we watched it all.

My parents were in town for my cousin, Jeffrey Patterson's, missionary return (I didn't get any pictures) and to get ready to fly to Bolivia with my brother Derek and his wife Tansy.  Derek served his mission in Bolivia so it was a great experience for all of them to go visit.  We had Mom and Dad come to our house for Father's Day dinner .  We had Papa Murphy's bbq chicken, one of Darrell's favorites.

Darrell opening his presents.

Emily, Darrell, Megan and Tyler on Father's Day.

We went to the free Jon Huntsman Day at This is the Place State Park.  Our friends who usually attend with us were in Hawaii, so we had friends from school come with us.

Emily and Megan on the horses.  We waited in line a long time for this short ride.

Enjoying the train ride.

Cashing in the panned "gold"

After the day at This is the Place State Park, the kids and I headed south to Manti, UT for "The Mormon Miracle Pageant."  This is the last year the pageant was performed.  We got to Manti around 5:00 p.m. and got lunch at a food court.

We found 4th row seats around 6:15 p.m. and then tried to kill time until the show started at 9:30 p.m.  We got sno cones.  Tyler's blue mouth is proof.

Getting ready to enjoy the show.  It ended at 11:00 p.m. and we drove home after that.  We got home around 2:00 a.m.

We thought Emily might escape the orthodontist because her baby teeth were so straight.  Nope!
