The girls were able to be "free" from the stroller so they could get up close to see the animals. They really did pretty well staying by us. I love this picture of them holding hands.
The kids liked seeing the animals, although when I first got Emily out of the stroller so she could have a better look at the elephant she screamed until I picked her up. (She's not a fan of dogs or cats, but I hadn't thought much about animals behind fences.)
Emily fell asleep, but Tyler and Megan enjoyed the monkeys.
By the ape house
We received vouchers for ice cream cones from our clinic. Megan's orange swirled ice cream fell on the ground so I gave her my chocolate/vanilla twist.
