General Conference fell on Easter Sunday.

The kids searched for the Easter eggs.

 

We watched General Conference.

We died Easter eggs in between General Conference sessions.

The night before Easter Emily put out her matching Under Armour outfit to be an Easter outfit.

My birthday fell on a Sunday this year, so celebrated Saturday and Sunday.  

We got "Big Foot donuts" for Saturday breakfast.

We went to the 4:00 matinee of "Les Miserables" at the Hale Center Theatre.

 

Then we went to Red Robin for my birthday dinner.

 

I opened my presents on Sunday. I have to laugh at Darrell's "wrapping job"--a Christmas gift bag with paper towels stuffed in it.

 

 

Later that day the kids and I binge-watched "The Chosen" (Season 1, episodes 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7) while we worked on my new puzzle.

 

Darrell made dinner and then we had Costco cake for dessert.  De-LISH!

The last 2 school years our school has been making plans to launch a LEGO figure (Lil Neil) into space.  He was supposed to be launched last year, but COVID threw a wrench in the system.  It was super fun to travel to Tremonton, UT to launch him. (We had to be away from air space, so that's why it was so far away.

The girls did a virtual LEGO League competition.  They filmed their things at the school.

Emily and Megan participated in Safety Patrol and had an opportunity to go to Lagoon.  Tyler was also able to go since he did Safety Patrol last year but didn't have a chance to go because of COVID.  I was the chaperone for all of them and another girl in my class.

Tyler played a 3-point basketball game.  He won a cheap prize and gave it away to a little girl.

The girls played a balloon-popping game and won these cute Squishmallows.

The West Valley City police department fed all of the Safety Patrol kids at the park.
