May 2021

Tyler's birthday was on a Sunday so we did most of our celebrating on Saturday.

We got our traditional donuts for breakfast (not shown) and then we went to All Star Bowling & Entertainment.

We ate at Chili's to celebrate Tyler's birthday.

Tyler turned 13 years old on Sunday, May 2.

We gave Tyler an electric razor to take care of his little mustache.

Tyler's Costco cake.

One thing about having a new house is that there are so many weeds. A rainstorm gave all the weeds just the right amount of water they needed to really grow.  We spent some time weeding for Family Home Evening.

The girls borrowed two of Tyler's Star Wars shirts for May 4th/Star Wars Day aka "May the 4th Be Wtih You!)

We did more weeding.

For Mother's Day, Emily and Megan surprised me with breakfast in bed. (Tyler made me toast for lunch at my request, but I don't have a picture.)

They also made me these gifts at school.

I love being a mother to these three:  Megan, Tyler, me and Emily

Look who's passing his mother up in height.

Darrell made dinner.

My parents were able to come down to see Tyler's band concert.  They brought flowers and hand soap to celebrate Tyler's band concert, Megan's dance recital and Emily doing swimming lessons.

We went to Menchi's afterward for a treat.

Love these people and their feet.

We finished another 30 days of reading the Book of Mormon for 15 minutes/day as a family so we headed to Leatherby's.

My parents came back down for Megan' dance recital.  We sure do love having them support us.

I had to get this picture of Megan getting advice from Grandma on how to improve her piano playing.

We bought Tyler a used trumpet--but it's all his. We've been borrowing my brother's trumpet.

We bought the trumpet in Orem and stopped at BLOX Desserts in American Fork to try out their brownies/bars.

We were super excited to get starting with our landscaping--fence posts!

We went to Derek and Tansy's house in Nephi, UT for dinner.  It's so nice that they live closer now so the kids can play with their cousins.

Only Darrell and I were able to attend Tyler's 7th grade awards assembly at Matheson Jr. High.  He received an award for getting 2.0 or higher on all of his report cards this past year.
