Silly Kitty on the piano.  She was intrigued by the tree.

We received a whole bunch of overnight snow and the schools had a 2-hour delay.

We went to Desert Star Playhouse and saw "White Christmas Story" for Darrell's work party for the City Journals that he does freelance writing for.

I went to see one of my students perform at the Empress Theater's porduction of "Tuck Everlasting."

This is the best:  Kitty comes and sits on my legs while I do my scripture studying and purrs and purrs!

We had our Rocketeers choir concert.  We had soooo many kids sign up for Rocketeers this year!  There were 126 kids on the printed program!  It was definitely too many--we couldn't all fit comfortably in the practice room for rehearsals, nor on the stairs/bleachers for the concerts (we had to bring in more bleachers), but the kids sounded great and I'm so grateful they wanted to sing.

My parents came down for the program and treated us to Freddy's.

Emily and Megan went swimming at my parent's hotel.  Tyler had basketball that night.

My parents also attended Megan's Just Dance Studio's Christmas recital.

My parents came down the next week for Emily's band concert on one night. (Emily played in the percussion ensemble.)

 

  

They stayed for Megan's orchestra concert on the next night.  Megan was first chair violin in the Foundations Orchestra.

 

Both girls chose Menchies for treats both nights.

The girls decorated the tiny American Girl Doll Christmas tree with their tiny Squishmallows.

Darrell and I had tickets to see the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.  We thought we had enough time to get there, but the traffic downtown was awful because of another concert (The Piano Guys) at the Vivint Arena and the consruction and lack of parking.  We couldn't find anywhere to park.  This was the closest we got to being at the concert.  

We finally decided to bag it and went and got dessert at Kneaders.

We went to Tyler's band concert.  He plays the trumpet.
