Happy Birthday Darrell!

Yesterday was Darrell's birthday.  It was fun to see Tyler be so excited with the preparations: buying Darrell's presents, buying the cake and decorating with a sign and balloons.  He had to tell Darrell about every new detail when he came home from work.

I tried to get a picture of all 3 kids to put on the blog yesterday, but Emily wouldn't stay put.  (Sigh!)



Darrell requested the super yummy chocolate sheet cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate frosting from Costco for his birthday cake.



Tyler requested the "red cake" and loved eating the red frosting with his fingers.  It made a big mess on his hands and mouth.



Because all of our birthdays fall within the next four months, this is the first birthday that the girls can remember.  They loved the balloons and decorations.  And it was so cute how they picked up on singing "Happy Birthday."  They kept "singing" little phrases like "Happy Daddy!"  or "Birthday Daddy!"
