Two Years Old

Because we knew we would be heading to San Francisco on Monday (the girls' birthday), we decided to celebrate their birthday on Friday.

Emily and Megan were so excited to have balloons and the birthday banner up in their honor.

We gave the girls their big presents right after breakfast so they could play with them all day.  They each got a nursery with a crib, high chair and sink all connected together.  (I only got one of the nurseries in the picture.)



We had Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner.  We used the left-over plates and napkins from the girls' first birthday.



I made a butterfly cake for the girls.



They were both so excited to have "Happy Birthday" sung to them (twice.) They both got the biggest smiles on their faces.



Emily and Megan opened their other presents after dinner.  (The table is also one of their birthday gifts.  We had another one, but a few weeks ago Tyler decided it would be fun to stab it with a pencil.  And since that wasn't enough fun, a few days later he convinced Megan to join him with forks.  Grrr.  The table has been put away ever since.) All three of them were excited to have a table again.



Emily knew exactly what to do with the presents and started right in opening them.  We had to help Megan a little.
