August Part 1

Our plum tree was super productive this year, so I made a lot of plum jam.

We got 27 half-pints of plum jam.  Our peach tree did pretty well also.  I made up a bunch of peach jam and froze the rest for future smoothies.

The kids played with Legos A LOT this summer.  I love that it keeps them busy and creative.

The kids love their stuffed animals.  Here Cosmo (the doll) is hanging out with "Blue Teddy" (Tyler's), "Puppy" (Megan's) and "Pink Teddy" (Emily's)

We discovered the Lego Store and the kids each got a few small things.  Darrell couldn't pass up getting a Lego motor home set.  Here the kids are watching him make it. (Megan, Emily, Darrell and Tyler)

We had a play date to Seven Peaks planned, but it rained on us.  We called it a day, only to find out that it was a fairly short-lived storm and the rest of the day was nice and sunny. (Sigh!)

If you look closely you can see the big rain drops in the picture.

We also planned a day hike back up to Cecret Lake with Sylvia, Jenna and Natasha.  The kids did great.  (Not sure why the cell pictures look like they were taken in the 70's!)
