August Part 2

One evening we attended a reptile, spider, snake night at the library.

This was one HUGE snake.  It is an albino snake.



The kids got to touch it.



One day we met up with friends to swim at the Fitness Center.  It was a lot of fun.  And I have to give Tyler huge props for conquering a fear while we were there.  Tyler and his friend decided to go on the really big water slide, so they headed up the stairs together.  Tyler chickened out once he got up to the top.  His friend kept going down and having a great time, so Tyler decided to try it again.  The same thing happened--he got to the top and then changed his mind and came back down.  He did that a couple more times before deciding to "take the plunge."  Once he did it and saw how fun it was he just kept going over and over again.  Yay Tyler!

Darrell had a huge work luncheon that he was in charge of, so he wasn't able to make it to the Ogden Temple Open House, but the kids and I went.

We went to the before-schoool open house to see Tyler's classroom and meet his teacher.

The girls came home and did water painting.  I'm so glad they have each other to play with.

We made a last-minute decision to go visit my parents for Labor Day weekend.

We headed to the county fair.  The kids loved the animals and the carnival rides.
