We spent the Labor Day weekend at my parents' house.  We went to the Labor Day parade that they hold in conjunction with the county fair.

On the way home we stopped at "The Big Bridge."  It is a bridge that we can see from the freeway and is part of the frontage road.  We always look for it on the way to and from my parents' house, but the kids had never been to it.  You can't go to the bridge without a good supply of rocks to throw over the side, so we stopped along the side of the road to stock up.  (Megan, Tyler and Darrell)

Megan and Emily started preschool on September 3.  They go Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00-11:30.  This is our fourth consecutive year of preschool with the fabulous Miss Katie.

Tyler came home from school after doing a science experiment at school about colors.  We had to replicate the experiment a couple more times at our house.

One Sunday we had a regional conference and were done with church by noon, so we decided to take a drive up a nearby canyon.  It was a beautiful fall day.

The kids decided to spend some of their money at the Lego Store.  They had a hard time deciding what to get, but they were SO excited to come home and build them.  I only helped Tyler with one little thing, but he did all of the rest by himself.

One evening for Young Women the Beehives (the 12 and 13 year old girls at church) and Carri and I (the leaders) hiked Ensign Peak. 

We came across this "little lovely" on the trail.  Here it is next to Carri's hand for perspective.  (Ugh!  More heebie jeebies!)

One of the ladies from church gave me 3 tickets to attend the General Women's Broadcast at the Conference Center.  I invited my neighbor and her daughter.  We had great seats.  It was so awesome to there.
