Spring Break

We were able to spend time with family during Spring Break and it was wonderful.

We made a quick trip Spokane, WA and were able to visit Derek and Tansy and their family.  Everyone loved swimming at the hotel pool.

Breakfast at the hotel  (Emily, Aubrey, Samuel, my dad, Tyler and Megan)

And then a little more swimming (Emily, Aubrey, Megan, Tyler and Samuel)

Love all of these cousins (Tyler, Alex, Aubrey, Carolyn, Megan, Samuel, and Emily)

Back at Grandma and Grandpa's house there was an Easter egg hunt.  Darrell wearing Emily's bunny ears while helping to hide the eggs.

Getting ready to go out and find the eggs. (Aubrey, Megan, Olivia, Tyler, Kyle and Emily)

 And they're off....

Thanks, Uncle Sage, for practicing baseball with the kiddos

Darrell took Emily and Megan on a 4-wheeler ride

Time with cousins wouldn't be complete without a talent show/fashion show

Here's trouble!  (Emily, Olivia and Megan doing Mad Libs)

We were able to celebrate Kyle's 12th birthday.

The kids put on a magic show for us.  Here is Tyler with the program:

And the magic was that people kept disappearing and reappearing behind the blanket.

A cousin sleepover (Megan, Olivia, Emily, Aubrey, Laura, Kyle, Tyler, and Daniel).  The kids are listening to Grandma read them a fairy tale or two.

We were able to go to a ranch and see some Pomeranian dogs and a little pony.  But first we had to get up to the house which requires 4-wheel drive, depending on the road conditions.  The kids loved having a short ride in the back of the pick up.

Megan with another one of the puppies.  The owners breed the dogs and sell the puppies for well over $1000 each!

This draft pony wasn't so tiny.  He was only 2 weeks old and his momma had died, so the owners are taking care of it in their backyard until they return it to the rest of the herd.

Aubrey, Tyler and Megan

The little pony licked EVERYTHING!  It was so fun to watch.

Sage and Darrell

We also stopped at Greg and Brooke's house to see their miniature goats.  Laura and Tyler

The kids always love swimming at the Y.

We had such a great time being with family and did so much in a few days' time.  I'm so grateful for family times.

March

Megan having "Pony Club."  She's reading a My Little Pony book to her little pony/unicorn.

Tyler has us attend Pokemon Club every Sunday.  He teaches us about 4 new Pokemon each week.  And he has a little happy face/sad face Pokemon sign.  If we're listening he keeps the happy face up, but if we're not listening, he turns it over to the sad face.

Tyler playing basketball.

We went to see Zootopia.  We loved it.

We ran out of clean forks, so Megan got the giant serving fork to eat her ice cream cake roll.

Emily and Darrell made a marble machine.

Megan helping Darrell do the dishes on Sunday after dinner.  Darrell is so good to finish up any dishes that don't fit in the dishwasher on any night, not just Sundays.

We needed to pick some up things at IFA so the girls enjoyed the chicks and bunnies.

Tyler at basketball practice.

The girls at Tyler's basketball practice.  Yay for Wi-Fi at the fitness center so the girls can watch Netflix and/or PBS Kids.

Dairy Queen was giving out free ice-cream cones one day, so we took advantage of that after basketball practice. (Megan, Tyler, and Emily)

St. Patrick's Day breakfast--donuts and green milk

St. Patrick's Day dinner--green mashed potatoes and Kool-Aid

Tyler's last basketball game.  He improved a lot this time.

We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary in March.  Tyler left this cute note on stuck to the cupboard by the sink.

This is what I found:  his art projects from school.  Such a sweet gesture!

Darrell and I celebrated our anniversary by getting a babysitter and going out to eat at The Olive Garden and then doing sealings at the temple.  We didn't do any selfies, but I did get pictures of our yummy meal.  Darrell had an Italian pot pie and I had tilapia and zucchini.  We also had 2 different chocolate desserts.

As per tradition I tried on my wedding dress.  (I really need to start trying it on BEFORE I head out to a big, yummy dinner--it just might fit a bit better.)  Tyler wanted me to hold these flowers he bought with his money at the dollar store.

Oh how I love these cute kids! (Emily and Tyler by me with Megan by my feet.)

Megan wanted to be a "flower girl" so she hurriedly made some flower petals out of paper and put them in her "puppy bag."

Then she threw (or rather carefully placed) the petals on the floor.

Decorating Easter eggs  (Tyler, Megan and Emily)

The kids enjoy playing with Tyler's basketball hoop.  (Tyler, Emily, Megan)

The girls chose Darrell's birthday cake-a puppy because they know how much he loves dogs.  The kids helped decorate it.

We went to eat at Noodles and Company for Darrell's birthday.

We came home for presents and birthday cake.  The kids were SO excited for Darrell to open their presents and see the "pinky print" cards they had made for him.  Birthdays with kids is a lot of fun.

We had a little snow storm and the girls loved going out to play in it.
