Summertime is always a great time to head to some nearby parks on a Sunday evening.


Poor Emily was walking by the drivers side when I opened the front door and it hit her right by the eye. (Aren't those freckles the cutest?)

One of our favorite things this summer was to take family bike rides over to the nearby elementary school and driving around the playground.

Some random things from July

Megan's big tooth is growing in from up in her gum.  Weird!



For the 24th of July we went to Camp Floyd and looked around.  It used to be an army fort.

Our first pet--a male betta named Bubbles.  He's cute and gets excited when we go over to his bowl to "talk" to him.

Cousin Fun

My mom, Kimberly and her kids came down for a little vacation in August. We went to the MTC open house with them.

There is such an incredible feeling in the MTC--you can't help feeling it the minute you walk through the doors.

After a long day at the water park, we got Frosty's at Wendy's.



Thanks to my mom for making the whole day happen.  We had a great time with cousins!

Camping

We went camping to Wasatch Mountain State Park in August.  We love camping and had a great time.

Our campsite had a little trail that led right to a small creek.  The kids loved playing and exploring near the creek.  (And inevitably "falling in" and getting wet feet ensued!)



Darrell couldn't join us until Friday evening, but the kids and I went up Thursday and set up camp.  My helpers--Megan, Emily and Tyler.

The kids and I went on a hike up the nearby mountain. (Megan, Tyler and Emily)

We stopped by the visitor center and bought some corn to feed the ducks.



We went to the Alpine Loop Scenic Drive and stopped by Cascade Springs and walked along the boardwalk.
