We went camping at Mt. Timpanogos Campground over Labor Day Weekend.
We were right below Mt. Timapanogos--it was so cool!
We arrived in the evening and had to finish putting up our tent in the dark.
Then next morning we had little cereals for breakfast.
We found this chipmunk at a different site while we were walking around the campground. He had figured out how to get a drink of water. He would crawl down and hang on upside down. It was so funny.
The kids went out exploring near the campsite.

We went to Orem in the afternoon and the kids swam at the Scera pool.
We headed to BYU and went to the bookstore. (Emily, Tyler, Cosmo and Megan)
We got a tasty treat at Krispy Kreme donuts.
The next day was Sunday. We went to Sacrament Meeting in Orem and then walked around the Provo Temple grounds.

We made a brief stop at Bridal Veil Falls before heading back to our camp.
The girls and I walked over to the Amphitheater across the road.

My sister-in-law Tansy was visiting her parents for the weekend and they drove over to see us and brought some yummy watermelon. It was so fun to visit with them. (Stephanie, Kent, Tansy, Megan, Tyler, Emily and Darrell.)
Roasted hot dogs and s'mores for dinner.
The campground was pure heaven for the kids. They headed off exploring and entertained themselves quite well.

And with exploring comes fun consequences:
The kids played with rocks around camp while I cleaned out the tent. (Emily, Megan, Tyler)
They even placed these rocks from camp around the base of the tree. Some of them had been painted on from past guests.
We sure do love camping!
