We decided to get out and do something (so many limitations during quarantine), so we headed to the Salt Flats. It was so nice to get out and enjoy the warm weather.

We went to Wendover, but it was basically a ghost town. We were able to get dinner from Arby's. They didn't have any dine-in seating, so we sat on the grass outside until it started raining.
Tyler wanted a Porg cake.
The Porgs were special guests.
Tyler's awesome teacher brought over the cutest Star Wars gifts for Tyler.
I wanted to document our home Sacrament Meetings. We used the piano bench for a Sacrament table.
For a while we used these little tea cups (and medicine cup) for the water.
We planted beans, peas and carrots for Family Home Evening.
We had a school Faculty Parade. We met at the school and then paraded through some neighborhoods where the students live. Those that are on permit met at a movie theater parking lot.

Megan, Tyler and Emily rode with me and they loved seeing their friends.
I was grateful for this small token of appreciation from the school district.
Tyler and I finally made it in for haircuts. My hair had gotten so long. I just had it trimmed.

We went to Nine Mile Canyon. We had a picnic by Nine Mile Creek.

Then it was my turn to say good-bye to my students as they returned Chromebooks and I gave them their things.
The end of the year was very bitter sweet, especially for Tyler. His grade was the first group of kindergartners when the school opened up.
They were the first group of kindergartners clapped into the school and it was sad that their "clap out" was in a drive-thru manner.

The kids had Mrs. Porg and Porgy celebrate their wedding anniversary by re-enacting their wedding.

We reached our reading goal for the Book of Mormon and so we went to Leatherby's to celebrate.

Darrell had to work on Memorial Day, but the kids and I decided to get out of town. We went to Golden Spike National Historical Park. The visitor center wasn't open and there weren't any re-enactments, but we had a picnic lunch and got a few pictures.
We also went to the Spiral Jetty.

Darrell fell when he was out walking a few weeks ago. It turns out he broke his finger. He had 3 screws put in his 4th finger of his right hand.
The girls had seen someone make these tie dye waffles on a vlog, so we tried them.
We were sad to see the rioting and destruction from the Georg Floyd situation at the Utah State Capitol building.
Our friends Tonya and Tootie were out performing their duties the night of the riots. We decided to take caramel brownies to thank them for their service.
