So, the time finally came that the kids were old enough to remember (at least through pictures if nothing else) and not need naps, etc. We ventured to Disneyland in July and had a wonderful, wonderful time. Darrell's mom came with us and we loved every minute of every day we were there.

Disneyland was celebrating 60 years!
The kids weren't in to the big rides, so most of our first day was spent doing the princess/character things, with a few rides (that didn't have too long of lines...because long lines make for whiney kids. Yes, you poor, first-world kids who HAVE to wait in line to ride on Dumbo at DISNEYLAND!)

Tyler at Autopia. He got to steer while I pushed on the pedal. He LOVED it. (Like father, like son--this is Darrell's favorite ride, and has been since he was little.)
Carol and Emily were in the car behind us. (I didn't get a picture of Megan and Darrell. All of the kids thought it was so fun to "drive" their car.)
We ended the day watching the "Paint the Night Parade" and watching the fireworks over Sleeping Beauty's Castle. It was all pretty magical!
