Megan (on the right) was 5 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 inches long and Emily was 5 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 inches long.

Here's a lovely picture of me soon after the girls were born. It was a pretty easy delivery. They started me on pitocin at 8:30 a.m. and I was ready for the operating room (just in case I needed an emergency c-section) by 3:00 p.m. Megan was born head first at 3:58 p.m. after 3 or 4 pushes. They tried to turn Emily who was breech, but she wouldn't turn, so the doctor pulled her out feet first at 4:04 p.m. Everything went well and the girls were healthy. What a blessing!

Here are the girls getting ready to come home.
Emily

Megan

The girls at home. It is easy to tell the girls apart. Emily has a red "stork bite" between her eyes and Megan's face is a little skinnier. They both have dark hair, but Megan's is quite long in the back.

The girls hang out together during the day.

Here they are with big brother Tyler. He has had quite an adjustment with moving and having two new sisters, but he's getting used to this new life a little at a time.

Their first sponge baths at home.

One night I heard Emily fussing. I went to check on her and found her trying to suck on Megan's fingers that were placed just right.

It's been so cool this month that the girls are usually dressed in sleepers, but we did get to go to a family reunion on a nice sunny day so the girls got to wear some of their cute summer clothes.

Going to church.

We sure do love these two little girls and feel SO blessed to have them in our family.
