Weekend away

My parents watched the kids while Darrell and I got away for a couple days.  We saw some beautiful, beautiful scenery.

Flathead Lake (Montana)

Glacier National Park

We even saw some mountain sheep right alongside the road.

The cute little "cabin" we stayed at

Huckleberry muffins for breakfast.

We headed north into Canada.

We drove by the Cardston Alberta Temple.  It was closed and they were doing maintenance on it.  (Notice the ladder.)

The beautiful Canadian Rockies

Wal Mart

We crossed over into British Columbia before heading back to the USA.

It was great to get away together and view some of God's beautiful creations.

Swimming lessons

The kids took swimming lessons for two weeks at the Y in my parents' town.  It was a time for lots of good cousin time.

Greg's family ran a sno shack.  The sno cones were DE-LISH!

Daniel even knew how to prepare them.

Check out those goggles!

Darrell came up on the weekend and got to watch the kids swim one day.

The girls had swimming lessons at a different time than Tyler did so this is how they spent the time waiting.

My mom helped me visualize and plan out covers for our camping foam pads.  That is a lot of material!  (Look for the the finished product picture in a future blog post.)

Swimming lessons lasted for 2 weeks.  I had Girls Camp the second week so Mom and Dad watched the kids the following week and took them to their swimming lessons.  What a blessing--the kids got to be with Grandma, Grandpa, aunts, uncles and cousins while I got to be "vacationing" it up in the mountains.  A win-win for everyone!

July stuff

July was hot, hot, hot!!  We stayed cool heading to a splash park and to Seven Peaks

The kids gravitated to the shade out back.

The girls went to a princess birthday party and came home with these great outfits.

We had some outside repairs done.  One day I was out watching the kids in the kiddy pool when I noticed a hole in our foundation.  I'm not sure how we didn't notice it before, but nevertheless, there it was.

You could see the pipe for our washer, which may explain why we had flooding from frozen pipes last January.  (I thought I had an "after" picture after it was fixed, but I can't find it.)

We also had this random faucet sticking out of the ground that was leaking.

We had it capped off under ground.

I love this one of Emily.  It shows her little fists holding dandelions.  If there's a dandelion to be found, she will find it and pick it.
