Safari Park

We spent a day at the San Diego Safari Park.  It was a hot day, and we'd already seen a lot of animals the previous two days, so we left earlier than it closed.

We loved, loved, LOVED watching the elephants.  They entertained us for awhile--chasing each other off, playing together, etc.

Even with all of the wonderful animals there were to the see, the kids really just wanted to hang out on the playground at the end of the day.  Silly kids.

San Diego Zoo

While in San Diego, we spent a day at the San Diego Zoo. (Megan, Tyler, Emily)



They had a petting zoo area with goats.



And lots of photo ops with animal statues.

We went on a bus tour and sat up on top.

We were able to see a lot of animals from the bus.

We arrived at the cheetah's spot just as the cheetah and its dog companion were being taken to some kind of VIP event.





We watched these orangutans for a LONG time.  They were so funny to watch.
