We bought our pellet stove last year in the hopes of saving money on gas heat.
We bought 4 tons of pellets during the Summer Bargain Sale. Darrell carried every single one of these bags from the garage, where they were unloaded, to the basement, where they are stored. (My knight in shining armor doesn't slay dragons--he hefts 4 tons of pellets down basement stairs!)
Here is a look at the pellets in the "hopper," as it's called.
It's nice to know we have heat for the winter, but it's especially nice to look forward to sitting by a fire on a cold, winter's night!

Looks nice and toasty---reminds me "Oh the weather outside is frightful...but the fire is so delightful!" Not that we are ready for the snow to fly yet but it is nice to know you are prepared! Way to go Debbie's knight in shining pellet sacks!
We are just about to buy a fireplace for our basement. It's a lot to research!! I LOVE fireplaces though. It is so warm and cozy to sit by one!
4 tons of pellets at once...that's what we want to see.
